Teaching philosophy
“Mindfulness is a clinical intervention with an evidence base and real contraindications. I teach it that way, not as a lifestyle.”
Ruth is a clinical psychologist who has taught MBSR since 2010 and supervises other teachers. Courses run three times a year, in person in Chorlton and online, with a full-day silent session in week six.

What students say
“She was clear at the orientation that this might not be right for me at that point. That honesty is why I came back a year later.”

“The silent day is the hinge of the whole course. Do not skip week six.”
